Aslee is a word from the Hindi and Nepali language that translates to Real. In essence, it also signifies purity, authenticity and strength.
Our attitude towards life and work, the focus on building real, durable, ecologically responsible and fashionable products. We are an independently run entity and everything we do is to bring you better, more sustainably made higher quality lifestyle products. Here’s how it works:
Good brands have charm. Great brands have soul.

The products you see have been included in our catalogue after months of deliberation and we work our hardest to make sure that manufacturing is done in the most sustainable way possible.
We’re nowhere near perfect and we’re the first to admit that, transparency is what will move this industry forward. For manufacturing sustainably we have three ground rules -
- Rule 1: Make products using materials and processes that are good for the planet.
- Rule 2: Don’t be a dick and make someone else’s life miserable while doing it. Improve the lives of the people down the supply chain. If we grow, everyone grows together.
- Rule 3: Reduce waste on each step.
Packaging wastes are a very visible part of environmental problems.
The negative image of packaging is not noticed during purchase, transport, and use of the product - in fact, it is not noticed until the minute the product is consumed and the package had fulfilled its function and turns into waste. It is at that minute, that the package is seen as an environmental burden, wasting resources.
To ensure that we do not add to the already mounting environmental issues, we have consciously designed biodegradable packaging. The plastic used for packing and shipping out our products breaks down into organic matter after 180 days of being buried in the ground.

On every single product page, you’ll find information specific to that item. You’ll see where it was made, what it’s made from, how it’s sustainable and how each item uses minimal non-replenishable resources from the environment.
Now it’s on you
The apparel and footwear industries currently account for 8% of global greenhouse emissions, nearly as much as that of the entire European Union. By 2030, the climate impact of the apparel industry alone is forecasted to nearly match today’s total, annual US greenhouse gas emissions, emitting 4.9 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
We don’t make huge collections of fast fashion, seasonal apparel. Our collections are small and we continuously drop limited editions products made from sustainable plant fibers.
Aslee is a tribe of risk takers and dream chasers, individuals who choose passion over practicality. We value planet health over financial health and believe that this is the mindset that will ultimately change the course that our planet is on.
In this journey to save our planet, we join hands with indigenous Himalayan communities who are involved in every step of our supply chain from harvesting to manufacturing of the fabrics. We make sure the benefits of the expansion of the tribe are passed on to the cultivators, artisans, factory workers and manufacturers in Nepal and India.
